The city of Halmstad is located on the west coast of Sweden, right between the two large cities Gothenburg and Malmö. You can reach our beautiful city by car, train, airplane, or bus and when you are here, everything is close.
Halmstad City Airport is located only ten minutes by car from the city center and if you arrive by train the train station is only a short walk from the main square.
Travel by train
It is easy to travel to Halmstad. Halmstad is situated between Falkenberg and Helsingborg. Trains from the Copenhagen area, Gothenburg and the region of Småland arrive and depart every hour. Check the train schedule and book tickets at SJ, Skånetrafiken or Hallandstrafiken.
Travel by bus
If you prefer the bus, book your trip at Swebus. The regional bus terminal is located next to the train station.
Travel by car
If you travel by car, Halmstad is easy to reach. The E6 highway stretches along the coast from Svinesund in Norway to Trelleborg in the very south of Sweden. The highway goes through cities like Gothenburg, Varberg, Falkenberg, Halmstad, Helsingborg and Malmö.
